LIHEAP: Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program

by Lynn

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federally funded assistance program designed to help customers with their home heating needs. The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services (DHS) administers this grant program, providing assistance that does not need to be paid back. If you qualify for these grants, the funds can be applied directly to your Peoples account.

Pennsylvania DHS has announced that LIHEAP for the 2025-26 heating season opened on December 3, 2025.
