West Hills Symphonic Band “Spring Pops Concert!”

This WHSB “Spring Pops Concert” features, in a once in a lifetime opportunity for both the band AND the audience, two bona fide, SUPERSTAR soloists!! Direct from her stunning, critically acclaimed Pittsburgh Opera performance as Micaela in Bizet’s “Carmen,” is a magnificent soprano, Danielle Pastin!! Our other STAR is a nationally renowned clarinetist, and long-time WHSB member, Janice Coppola, who’ll play the Artie Shaw Concerto, a work she has performed with the country’s finest symphony orchestras!! Also on the program:
Colonel Bogey March, the Overture to The Barber of Seville, Soundtrack Highlights from Jurassic Park, Robert W. Smith’s “Paradiso,” two Sousa marches, and the band’s second collection of American Songbook classics with French connections, called ‘Mour Chansons D’Amour. The concert is FREE, with donations graciously accepted at the door! A DO NOT MISS!!
