| In place of traditional Memorial Day commemorations, Remembering Together Pittsburgh invites all Pittsburgh-area communities, organizations, businesses, and individuals to join together in a region-wide virtual event on Monday, May 25, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum. The event will honor those who died in service to our country while also highlighting the sacrifices of our local neighborhoods and municipalities. Remembering Together Pittsburgh is a partnership of all participating groups, including Allegheny County, the City of Pittsburgh, Soldiers & Sailors, Gold Star Mothers Spouses, the Veterans Breakfast Club, and other organizations. The two-hour virtual Memorial Day event will be streamed across platforms and made available to local television channels. It will begin with a live ceremony at Soldiers & Sailors and then transition to pre-recorded remarks and tributes, as well as photographs, submitted by citizens throughout Western Pennsylvania. |
