More than 200 friends family and staff from LifeSpan attended the 10th annual Spring Art Show on May 18 and 19 at Hillsdale Community Resource Center, located in the Dormont Borough Building. Every year, the building’s second floor is transformed into an art gallery. The show features original artwork (on display and for purchase) by the Primary Colors Art Guild. This year, 26 members of the guild exhibited 125 paintings, while LifeSpan’s staff and volunteers provided delicious hors d’oeuvres, desserts and beverages.
Access First Transit of Bethel Park donated shuttle service from the Dormont Pool to the event on Friday evening. Partial proceeds from the art show benefit the Dormont Library.
The Primary Colors Art Guild is just one of the creative, educational, social activities held at Hillsdale Community Resource Center for adults ages 50 and older. LifeSpan offers resources and services to seniors throughout southern Allegheny County, including care management, center services (12 centers), the Senior Companions Program and home-delivered meals, as well as information and assistance.
